Investment in Fuel Facility

Superair has invested over $1.0 million dollars in a 24 hour access Aviation fuel facility at the Armidale airport. The capacity of this installation is 240,000 litres of JET A1 and 30,000 litres of Avgas.

  • The facility is fully compliant with Australian Standard 1940/2017 and has been independently audited for compliance.

  • The reasoning to invest in the fuel facility was: -

    • ·         Support and work in conjunction with the Rural Fire Service service’s airbase established at the Armidale airport.

    • ·         support the local aviation community as there was no 24 hour aviation fuel available without a considerable call-out fee. This fee decreased the aircraft landing and take-offs at the Armidale airport due to the cost of the fuel. Aircraft were diverting from Armidale to enable them to obtain fuel at a reasonable price.

    • ·         Encourage the establishment of aviation businesses on the airport.
